Our book club formed in reaction to our mutual admiration of the BBCA 2006 Robin Hood series starring Jonas Armstrong as Robin Hood and Richard Armitage as Guy of Gisborne. Anyone is welcome to join our discussions.
Hi folks!
ReplyDeletePokey here,
and,
Greetings From The Sherwood Warriors,
Just posting my (our) ingaugural blog here on our wonderful, new CFH=(Cyber Forest Home):
Well everyone,
What' ya say? (quoting our gorgeous "Mr. G" to Marian. LOL)
It, (like our brave, little pigeon friend), might be small and modest to start, BUT
I think might prove to be quite a powerful keeper?
The Warriors wanted me to tell you they are very excited to be a part of this blog (well, and me too, LOL), and are looking forward to our first Book Club Discussion; "Robin And The King" by Parke Godwin.
I'll be posting the questions on this blog and the BBCA discussion board as well, as some of our group might not have had the chance to learn of our new cyber home as yet.
However, as more of our group learn of this blog, then we will begin our gradual but certain transition over to this site.
In the meantime, happy reading and blogging on both sites, (as long as the old one may continue.)
Have a great evening.
Pokeygirl
Hugs from the Warriors
glad the sites up it's cool hope BBCA don't shut the other one down for a while!

You know, I was just about to pull that picture because i thought It was confusing, like he was Robin Hood! I'll keep it now that I know you like it so much! I did change the lay-out even though I liked the green better, because I like the way this page can stretch. Maybe later they will offer this in green.
ReplyDeleteHi, everyone! I'm tardy, but so glad to join the gang here. I really want to keep in touch with you all after the BBCA RH forum closes. I can't wait to enjoy all your comments about S3 and all of RH on the forum. After the finale, we can discuss RH and so much more at this new campfire. Wassail!
ReplyDeleteWE ARE ROBIN HOOD!
ReplyDeleteThis site is cool love the pics once again and HI everybody!
ReplyDelete-robinhoodfan13
Welcome! It is hard to let go of a good thing.
ReplyDeleteNow let's see if this works.
ReplyDeleteI'm IN !!!!! YEEEEAAAAAYYYYYYY !!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI created a Google Account, besides my regular att.net accout, to get me in.
Ok, now I can relax, knowing I CAN get in to comment once BBCA removes our RH chat room.
Please DO keep that beautiful photo of Alan.
ReplyDeleteI love ALL the great photos on this new site.
Please excuse all these postings, but I just remembered one thing I wanted to say - something on the home page says " ....... Dinah" after our precious little messenger pidgeon ...... shouldn't it actually be spelled "Dinair" after it's name "La Din Aire" or La Dinaire" (that sounds closer to what Djac said the name was).
ReplyDeleteIf you choose to leave the name as it presently is, that's fine. I just happened to notice the misspelling.
I now have this bookmarked so I can find you all :)
ReplyDeleteGlad that I have found this place. I have just ordered Parke Godwin's "Sherwood" and "Robin and the King" and look forward to joining the discussion.
ReplyDeleteI think I've managed to find the new forest for the trees...
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for this site. Thanks for getting me in pokeygirl. I am reading sherwood right now.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the mascot !! That's cute, with the pigeon reading a road map !!!
ReplyDeleteHi everyone!
ReplyDeleteI love the La Din Aire picture! Too cute!!!
So, this is where we will be living from now on, huh?

ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see everybody migrating!
ReplyDeleteI also love the pictures you chose for the site (especially Allan), but since it is a Robin Hood book club, maybe we should find a picture of Robin to include....
Oooh, maybe a photo montage of great film and television Robins! I might be able to assemble/contribute one over the holidays.
I just picked up Hood to read!

I want to make sure this is working right again. I was testing the eaddress out go make sure everything would come up all right since we are only 2-3 days from possible archiving of the RH site. I WAS having trouble getting the http address to come up at first, but if you start NOT with the http, but the www..... and go from there, it looks like it's all right.
ReplyDeleteI'll check it again later today, and the coming days. We don't want a problem at the last minute.
Hmm, sorry to hear you've been having trouble. I put a link to the site up on my blog and that's been working fine.
ReplyDeleteNow that it's working alright maybe add it to your favorites so you can always link back?
Hello, all. It is I, fair_maid. I have an account on Google for a different show where my user name has been fanfare for quite a while, so I'm just going with that. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice to see you all. I have this blog bookmarked now. Thanks, pokeygirl, for sending me the link.
I'm in. WE ARE ROBIN HOOD!
ReplyDeleteJust another last minute check to make sure things work right - I LIKE the new additions to this site !!!
ReplyDeletePokeygirl, you said you'd tell us today who the real Robin Hood was (is). We've been patient, but the suspense is killing me now.
ReplyDeleteMmm, yes you wonderful enigma, you. We all await your insights anxiously here and on the BBCA boards!
ReplyDeleteJules, I have a yorkie too! Sir Pippin of York to be precise, but we just call him Pip.
ReplyDeleteThanks swan for setting all of this up!
ReplyDeleteHey Maryrose! I was just thinking about you today, and wondering if you'ed be joining us on the book for January! Great to see you'll be on board. I just have to make the time to read now.
ReplyDeleteHey, if anyone's going to be watching the Doctor Who specials "The End of Time", David Harewood appears in both. I'm really excited for this finale.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm getting season 1 & 2 for Christmas. I'm so glad that netflix suggest Robin Hood to me. I've enjoyed it since the first eposide.
ReplyDeleteHi girls, just wanted to let you know I am heading in a new direction,as many of you probably are by now. We had a good, fun time with R.H. and I will leave this site open for any discussion you want on more books.
ReplyDeletelove you all and carry on.

Hi folks,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to post a bit about our old BBCA RH site. The Java software has been updated successfully and the BBCA Chat Forums are up and running again.
